Original Ink Paintings (One-Stroke Paintings) by the Unique Japanese Artist Yoshifusen Yoshiwara - Set of 6 This is a set of 6 original, authentic ink paintings by the unique Japanese artist Yoshifusen Yoshiwara, as shown in images 1 through 6. About Yoshifusen Yoshiwara: Born 1896 (Meiji 29) - Died 1983 (Showa 58), aged 88. Awarded the Academia Prize, graduated from the Indian Fine Arts School, exhibited at the French Salon, and received the Blue Ribbon Medal. In the late Taisho era, he was the first Japanese person to sketch 100 scenes of the Himalayas, earning him the nickname Himalaya Yoshifusen. His signature works include Himalaya and Daruma. In his later years, he excelled in calligraphy and ink painting. Ink Paintings (One-Stroke Paintings) - Images 1 to 6: Image 2: Hachijuichi Ro (81 Years Old) - July 27, Showa 50 (1975) (Created at age 81) Image 4: Hachijuichi Ro (81 Years Old) - July 22, Showa 50 (1975) (Created at age 81) Painting Size: 25 cm x 17.5 cm *Individual sales are possible for ¥2,500 per painting. Please inquire if you are interested in purchasing separately. *Please note that the price of this item is firm and cannot be discounted. The paintings have been backed and are ready to be framed and enjoyed immediately. There are pinholes, but they do not affect the viewing of the artwork. (We have heard that Yoshiwara himself used to pin his works to the wall in his studio to enjoy them.) *Note: Some areas in the images may appear faintly reddish. This could be due to scanner settings or the artist's technique. Areas where ink has been lightly diluted and applied may appear reddish in the photographs, but there is no actual red color in the paintings. This is an old item and may have stains or dirt. Please examine the images carefully to assess the condition. We kindly ask for your understanding that it may be difficult to fully grasp the condition from the images alone. We appreciate your understanding and bid only if you are fully aware of this. (Please refrain from bidding if you are sensitive to such details or are looking for a perfect item.) Returns will not be accepted unless due to our error. Thank you for viewing. Click here for the manufacturer's site
